How does it work?
skydiVR is a SaaS (Software as a Service) training tool:
you use on a per jump basis, $4 per jump includes all instructor tools
you install the app on your PC and keep your account in credit to jump
you send your student our client software which enables them to log in to skydiVR operating on your PC and fly their virtual parachute using their PC’s keyboard to steer and mouse to look around
you and your student schedule a call for a lesson. Current lessons are listed here
you charge your going rate to share your time and experience
you conduct the financial transaction with your student

What is needed?
Gamer level PC required, connected to good internet. This article will help you clarify if your existing PC has what is needed.
VR goggles are an option with skydiVR. This article summarizes the best headsets available. Working online one-on-one with a student it is not recommended for either person to use VR goggles
Brief-jump-debrief lesson format, approx 15 minutes per lesson.
You complete a Record of Learning for each jump using our template
You can suggest to your student they record/screen-capture the lesson for future reference

To become a skydiVR instructor:
You need a gamer level PC (sorry the gods of VR stipulate this) connected to good internet
If you are an instructor using a MAC, you need to rent a cloud based PC, approx $30 per month

We need your instructor rating number or a recommendation from your Instructor
You do a few jumps as a student so you get a feel for how the app works
If you want to proceed you will then receive via an email invitation to download the full instructors version of skydiVR. This license is activated once you pay a $100 deposit:
This opens your manifest in credit for 20 jumps
These 20 jumps are for you to learn how to use skydiVR in its different modes
If you change your mind before the 20 jumps are used, your $100 deposit will be fully refunded
If you see value in skydiVR and want to proceed, your original deposit of $100 is used to buy your next 20 jumps. We suggest you setup auto replenish so you know you will always be ready to teach a lesson
